SEO Retainer or Fixed-Scope Project: How Indian Businesses Should Actually Decide

Almost every SEO conversation in India arrives at the same fork within twenty minutes. Monthly retainer, or one-off project? The usual answer from agencies is retainer, because retainers are how agencies stay solvent. The usual instinct from business owners is project, because a defined scope feels safer. Both defaults are wrong about half the time. The decision should come from the state of the site, not from a preference about billing. What a project is actually good at A fixed-scope project suits work with a defined end state. A technical audit and its fixes. A migration. Rewriting title tags and meta descriptions across a hundred pages. Building a page structure for a site that only has four pages. Fixing canonicals, redirects, sitemap hygiene and index bloat after a replatform. These are jobs that finish. You can specify them, price them, verify them and walk away. If your site has never had a technical pass, a project is almost certainly the right first purchase, and committi...

Delhi NCR Dental and Specialty Clinics: The Appointment Query Map Nobody Builds Pages For

A dental or specialty clinic in Delhi NCR competes for patients against three very different things: the clinic two hundred metres away, a handful of large chains with marketing departments, and the aggregator directories that sit above both in search results and charge for the leads they collect from your own neighbourhood. The clinics that break out of that do not do it with more advertising. They do it by building pages for the searches patients actually run, which are almost never the searches clinic websites are built around. What the clinic site has, and what patients search The typical Delhi NCR clinic website has a homepage, a Services page listing twelve treatments as bullets, a doctor profile, and a contact page with a map. Four pages. Now the searches: root canal cost in Delhi, dental implant price India, is root canal painful, braces vs aligners cost, cashless dental insurance Delhi, dentist open on Sunday near me, emergency dentist Delhi NCR, how long do dental implant...

Ten Questions to Answer Before You Redesign an Indian Business Website

Website redesigns are where organic traffic goes to die. Not because redesigns are bad, but because they are almost always run as a design and development project with SEO invited to review the staging site a week before launch, at which point every decision that mattered has already been made. The traffic loss is rarely dramatic on day one. It shows up over six to ten weeks as rankings drift down, and by then the agency has been paid and nobody connects the two events. Here are the questions worth forcing answers to before a single design file is opened. 1. Which pages currently bring traffic, and are they all in the new sitemap? Export twelve months of Search Console data, sort by clicks, and take every URL that earned more than a handful. That list is non-negotiable. Any page on it that has no equivalent in the new site needs either a home or a deliberate decision to lose it. 2. Is every changing URL mapped to a 301? Not a redirect to the homepage. A one-to-one map from old URL...

How to Audit a Mumbai Business Website in One Afternoon

You do not need a paid tool or a week to find out why a website is not ranking. Most of the problems that hold back a Mumbai business site are visible in about three hours with a browser, a free Search Console account and a spreadsheet. What follows is the sequence I use, in the order that finds the expensive problems first. Hour one: is Google actually seeing the site properly Start with a site search. Type site:yourdomain.com into Google and compare the result count to the number of pages you believe you have. A big shortfall means indexing problems; a big excess means you are indexing things you should not, usually tag archives, internal search results or parameter URLs. Then open Search Console and go to the Pages report. Read the reasons under "Why pages are not indexed". Two entries matter more than the rest. "Crawled - currently not indexed" usually means thin or duplicated content. "Alternate page with proper canonical tag" is fine if intended ...

Delhi Small Business SEO: What to Do in the First Month Without an Agency Retainer

Most small businesses in Delhi cannot justify a retainer in their first year, and most of the advice written for them assumes one. This is what I would actually do in the first thirty days if the budget were my own time and nothing else. Week one: fix the profile before the website For a local business in Delhi, the Google Business Profile drives more enquiries than the website does, and it is free. Claim it if you have not. Then do the unglamorous parts properly: exact business name with no keyword stuffing, the category that matches what you actually do, real opening hours including the days you are closed, a service area that reflects where you will genuinely travel, and a phone number that a person answers. Add photographs that were taken this year, not stock images. Add your services as individual entries rather than one blob. If you have a physical premises, the address must match, character for character, what appears on your website and everywhere else you are listed. Incon...
